在專題研習中我是負責「殯儀」方面。當初我知道我被挑選要參與這個專題研習時，我感到有點忌諱，可能是中國人的傳統觀念吧！一般對死亡很懼怕，但在專題研習開始時我很積極投入，發現「殯儀」這個詞語也不是相像中那麼恐怖，反而原來我對「殯儀」存在很多疑惑，產生很多問題。沒想到半年這麼快就過了，我認識了很多關於殯儀方面的知識；例如：東華義山和義莊，殯儀的起源等；也增進了分析能力和綜合能力，也提早了我安排自己喪禮。經過這個專題研習後，我也獲益良多，不像開始時一樣那麼忌諱，反而是用一個接納的態度面對「殯儀」。
In this project, I manage the funeral part. When I knew I was selected to work on this project, I did not feel comfortable because death is a taboo subject in Chinese culture. But when I started to get involved, I found out that the term ‘funeral’is not that horrible. Instead I began to think about a number of questions related to the topic. After working on this project for almost six months, I have learnt a lot about funeral rites, for example the Tung Wah Yishan, the Yizhuang and the origins of funeral rites. I have also improved my analytical ability and Have thought about my own funeral arrangement. I think the best thing about joining this project is that I now adopt a very different attitude towards ‘funeral’, it is no longer something which should be treated as a taboo.
